Getting Started
How do I get started with Buildability™?
Enter any U.S. property address on our homepage and check the live Buildability Score™ free — no signup required. The live Score is free on any address, every factor cited. A full Buildability Report is $99, generated in under 20 seconds from 5 federal agencies plus commercial data partners queried live, and it licenses that parcel for a year.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Buildability sells reports — one-time purchases that never expire. One report is $99 and licenses that parcel for a year: the full record plus the IC memo, certificate, scenario write-ups and voice, free re-runs, and 12 months of change monitoring. Volume slides to $79. Geo chat, the live Score, and the scenario sandbox are free forever. Teams can add Pro for $289/month for a shared workspace and unlimited monitoring.
What information do I need to generate a report?
Just a property address. Our system automatically identifies the parcel, queries 5 federal agencies live (Census, FEMA, USGS, EPA, USDA) plus county records, and generates a comprehensive Buildability Report.
Can I see anything before purchasing?
Yes — the live Score is free on any U.S. address, with no card and no account: your Buildability Score, every factor, and the hazard evidence behind them, each cited to its source. The $99 report is what adds the parcel record — owner, APN, lot dimensions, the parcel polygon, valuation and comparable sales.

Account & Billing
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Settings → Billing in your dashboard and click "Update Payment Method." You can add or remove credit cards at any time.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Reports are one-time purchases with nothing to cancel — they never expire. If you subscribed to Pro ($289/month, month-to-month), cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; access continues until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.
Can I get a refund?
New subscriptions have a 14-day money-back guarantee. One-time report purchases are non-refundable after generation; other one-time purchase refund requests are reviewed case by case within 7 days. Email team@buildability.us with your account details and request.
Do unused reports roll over?
Yes — reports never expire. The 3 included with Pro each month roll into your regular balance and never expire either. Use them whenever you're ready.

What data sources does Buildability use?
We query 5 federal agencies live — FEMA (flood), USGS (seismic/elevation), EPA (radon/environmental), Census (geocoding/demographics), and USDA (soil) — plus OpenStreetMap (utilities), Regrid (parcels), RentCast (valuations/comps), and Zoneomics (zoning). Reasoning is model-agnostic — a complexity router picks the cheapest frontier-model tier that can answer correctly, and we swap in whichever provider wins each task.
How accurate is the data?
We source directly from official government APIs and commercial data providers. Each data point shows a confidence badge (Verified, Estimated, or Limited Data) so you know exactly how reliable each finding is. Always verify critical information with local authorities before making final decisions.
How long does it take to generate a report?
Under 20 seconds. We query all data sources in parallel — you can watch the progress as each source returns data.
Can I export reports to PDF?
Yes. All paid reports include a professional PDF export that you can share with lenders, partners, contractors, or city planning departments.
How often is data updated?
Government sources update quarterly or as surveys complete. Commercial data (comps, rentals) updates weekly to monthly. We always pull the most current data available at the time of report generation.

Can my company or city get a white-label version?
Yes. Cities, counties, and companies can run Buildability under their own brand — your logo, your domain, your users’ experience — including the embeddable widget and custom data integrations. Contact team@buildability.us to scope a deployment.

Technical Support
I'm getting an error when generating a report.
First, verify the address is correct and includes city + state. If the issue persists, email team@buildability.us with the address, error message, and your browser. We typically respond within a few hours.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest 2 versions). The platform is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers as well.
Is there a mobile app?
The web app is fully responsive and installable as a PWA (Progressive Web App) on iOS and Android. Add it to your home screen from your browser for an app-like experience.
How do I report a bug?
Email team@buildability.us with a description, steps to reproduce, and screenshots if possible. We respond within 24 hours.

Security & Privacy
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use 256-bit SSL encryption for all data transmission. Your searches and reports are private and never shared with third parties. We are CCPA compliant and follow GDPR data handling practices.
Who can see my property searches?
Only you. We never share your search history, saved properties, or reports with anyone. Team members you explicitly invite can access shared properties if you enable collaboration.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Your account and user-owned data are removed immediately and irreversibly, except records we must retain for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or financial-compliance purposes.
