Accounts, teams & privacy
You don’t need an account to score a parcel. You need one to open reports, keep properties, use Documents and work with a team.
Signing in
Sign up with Google, or with an email and a password of at least eight characters. Email sign-ups confirm the address by email first.
Account types
After signing up, Buildability guesses what kind of account you are and asks you to confirm: homeowner; developer or builder; investor; agent, broker or lender; city or county; or platform partner (by application). The type sets the wording and what you see first. It never changes a number.
Teams
A team workspace shares properties, documents and a report balance. Creating one and inviting people is part of Pro; joining by invite is free.

A private team has up to 25 seats. Invites arrive by email and open at a join link.
Your data
- Your searches and properties are visible only to you and the workspaces you share them with.
- Data is stored in the United States.
- We don’t sell personal information. Analytics run only if you opt in.

Export your data
Settings → Compliance & data → Export all data downloads one JSON file: your profile, reports, properties, Pencil It runs, certificates, chats and report ledger. Secrets such as keys are never included.
Delete your account
Settings → Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm. Deleting removes your account and everything it owns, and can’t be undone.
Deleting also cancels a Pro subscription immediately, without waiting for the period to end. If the cancellation can’t be confirmed, nothing is deleted.
